RSS News Feed Posts, Introducing Bolgar's Head Options

Bolgar's Head is the OoR bot. He will diligently collect news from RSS feeds related to Vanguard and add them to this forum. At the moment he's only reporting back from the offical feed on the VGPlayers site. However if you know of any other Vanguard sites with RSS feeds worth reporting here then just shout up and we'll give him some more work to do.

However... Bolgar's Head isn't quite intelligent enough to tell the difference between interesting news and SOE spam, so that's where I come in. In an attempt to be less subjective, here's the plan.

News categories I'll include are:

• Details of game updates
• Maintenance notices
• Developer interviews
• Friday Features
• Player Screenshots

News categories I'll delete are:

• Player Spotlights
• Spotlights on other guilds
• SOE marketing spam related to other games, including SOE podcasts

If you think I'm excluding something interesting (or including something boring) then let me know. It's no problem to change it.

Ok... so now it's been runing awhile, how much to you guys care about the various SOE news items? Are you reading silently and just not replying, or not bothering with them at all?

I'm inclined to cut out the interviews and screenshots as well, unless someone says they're actually interested in them.
I think it's the news directly related to the game that we really want?
