HCC will not launch at all. Not if I double click the desktop icon. Not if I click the launcer in the folder.
I have fully uninstalled and reinstalled.

The only changes to my system recently were upgrading from 2G ram to 4G ram... but since my OS can not "see" all 4 gig, it shows as 3.5. And HCC has worked for me before.

- HCC Version number* I just downloaded the newest version.
- Date of the Database* Just downloaded the newest version
- Operating System (Servicepacks, etc.) Windows XP media center
- Horizons installed yes/no Yes

Ok did tons of troubleshooting.
Bottom line - HCC 2.24 works.
When I download 2.25 and only overwrite the HCC executable, it works.
When I download 2.26 and only overwrite the HCC executable, it works.
Any version after that, and the executable won't launch.

Right now, HCC 2.26 is working with the 2009-03-19 database.
Any attempt to upgrade to HCC 2.30 and it will not launch.

Ok this is 99% solved and I am exhausted. Did a full repair on my DLLs (sfc /scannow), downloaded and used a registry cleaner... thank goodness I didn't ruin the machine in the process.

The problem as it REALLY exists... I can not launch HCC.exe (except earler versions) unless I right click, choose "run as" and then "current user".
Of course, I ***AM*** the current user. Yeah, no kidding. How do I get this file to realize this?

Thanks much,
Lox
